Protective membrane material (PMM)

 

The protective membrane material is used to manufacture highly effective personal protective equipment for human skin. The unique structure of the material lets the moisture pass through and prevents the harmful chemicals from ingress to avoid the exposure of vapors and mists of hazardous chemicals, solid particles, as well as biological contamination.

PMM complies with the Unified sanitary, epidemiological, and hygienic requirements.

 

 

PURPOSE

Protective membrane material (PMM) is the specific type of protective material of unique composition that reliably protects the skin against the health effect of exposure to highly toxic and chemically hazardous substances as vapors, aerosols, drops, or solid particles, as well as biological contamination. The basis of this material is a polyamide imide-based selectively permeable membrane (SPM) laminated (sealed using a special technology) on both sides with woven polyester interfacing. Due to its high vapor permeability, SPM is breathable, allowing the moisture to get out and preventing hazardous chemicals from getting in. This property keeps the skin dry, protecting against the exposure of aggressive media. Thus, the protective membrane material has high physiological and hygienic characteristics to ensure comfort to those wearing protective clothing.

As far as the pollutant-free woven interfacing is used as a liner, the membrane material achieves higher strength and durability in case of the temperature jump, higher stability to deformations and damages during operation, which increases its service life.

PMM with the selectively permeable membrane ensures the following:

 higher protection properties;

 comfort for the protective clothing user due to the material vapor permeability.
